UNAC appeal for donations to the "4- Hone" Appeal for Children is acknowledged from Fork Town Hall since August 17. The Shire Clerk records incoming contributions totaling £138 1H A and N. Eiobs and others, with multiple donors listed alongside.
Two local vagrants with prior court history were charged again Saturday as vagrants and disorderly persons for lacking lawful means of support. James Reddan and Oe Wat Edad Bmth were brought by Constable Pype with witnesses noting drunken behavior and trouble at the scene. Reddan received two months imprisonment while Bmth faced a shorter sentence.

At a Thursday meeting the Forbes Municipal Council finalized its Tian Planning Committee by adopting the Town Planning Act. Aldermen chosen include the Mayor Deputy Mayor Colloidge Brenner and Hartcher Gunn Halloway Collett. Public reps elected are J Nunn Rotary Club member Swen G Mel Ville betsiness Untereste and CF Taylor citizens. The council will hold its first meeting to set course.
Forbes Municipal Council read a letter from the Under Secretary detailing an agreement for a Britain replanning exhibition. The show, featuring enlargements and diagrams, will tour Australia in 1948 with the Town Hall offered free for February 23 and 24. Admission is free and council will assist with packing and setup.
A man named Mr. W. Whittaker injured his left hand while attempting to kill a beast at Darophulgie Mratworks on Saturday. He was taken to the district hospital for care and medicines.
