Stockdale's Third Annual Watermelon Jubilee opens this Friday at 9 30 with a street parade featuring business firms floats private cars and individuals. The two day event includes barbecue music dancing and a coronation ceremony with State Senator Morris Roberts as master of ceremonies and notable guests from Seguin and Kennedy. Jess Akers Rodeo will perform daily with stunts each afternoon and the Border States Shows carnival attractions provide entertainment for all ages. Large Crowd Here For 2 Day Rodeo
A two day rodeo staged by the Wilson County Rodeo Association at the fair grounds drew a large crowd with out of town visitors Sunday. Joe Kerr Funeral Services Set for Saturday
Joseph Kerr, 67, prominent banker and stockman from Sanderson, died at home after a long illness.
