Old Trail Driver Dick Adams Dies at 76 Near Floresville
R H Adams known as Uncle Dick Adams aged 76, a Wilson county old-time trail driver, died suddenly at his farm home near Highway 97 Monday evening June 14 1937 after a day of farm work. Funeral at Floresville Cemetery with Rev R K Heacock. he spent nearly fifty years in Wilson county and helped develop the area as a member of the Old Trail Drivers Association. Nine children were born to his family, with Mrs Laura Sledge as his wife before they moved to Llano then back to the county.

Mack Rogers Dies In San Antonio
Mack Rogers 64 a Wilson county stockman and farmer died at the home of his sister Mrs. Wm Woolsey in San Antonio on Thursday June 10 1937 after illness. Born March 16 1873 in Sunnyside he was one of nine children of Hugh and Melissa Rogers. Surviving are four sisters and one brother. The body was brought to Floresville and laid to rest at Harper Cemetery Sunnyside with rites by Father James Marsellier and Rev Elmer Spruce.

The colored population of Floresville will stage a June 19 celebration tomorrow starting about noon at the colored school house in the colony. A barbecue will open the day at noon followed by a program and a baseball game in the afternoon. A raffle will be held at the school.
