San Antonio Texas June 12 The division of the new national army to be mobilized and trained at Camp Wilson will have a strength of 25 000 men instead of 16 000 according to information received at department headquarters on Tuesday morning. While the new basis of organization of the army makes the strength of a field division 16 000 men the training divisions of men mobilized under the selective draft will not come under its provisions but will be organized on the old basis of 25 000 to the division. When the troops are ordered to field duty they will be organized under the new rules.
Floresville citizens observed the One Hundred and Fortieth anniversary of Old Glory with a program at the High School Auditorium. Captain Ira C. Ogden delivered the principal address on the flag as J. E. Canfield urged Red Cross relief for suffering soldiers. The program included songs, an invocation, flag drill, and two addresses detailing the flag and the Red Cross dedication.
The Floresville revival ended Sunday night June 10 with twenty one conversions and twenty new church members, plus one new member for the Baptist church. Rev. F. E. Fincher aided the pastor and won praise for his warm reception by local residents.
