The Carroll Circuit Court plans a January term for cases against F. J. Konapasek and Ed Stouse charged with liquor law violations. State seeks postponement due to absent key witnesses two detectives who spied on Fiora's malt mead joint.
Senator Fairbanks the Republican vice president nominee will visit Delphi on Wednesday November 2 for a monster rally to outdo Bryan's recent meeting. The Fairbanks special train will come from Monticello and transfer via the Wabash to Lafayette for an overnight stop with national speakers in Delphi before the chief’s arrival. The tour will cover towns and cities across the state as Bryan makes his two Indiana trips.
Ed Myers relocates to Logansport to operate the Burlington Avenue market in city hall area with partner William White assisting at the counter. Few friends wish him success in this new location as he begins operations with Mr Myers and Miss Spent Sunday with Vera Ballard east of A.

The Flora and Bringhurst Co operative Telephone Co holds a mass meeting to consider purchasing D E Miller’s local telephone system with about 500 phones. Purchase price around 12000 dollars, basis of 25 dollars per phone, consolidation expected to close today. The deal would unify service for Flora and surrounding areas, with improved repairs and countywide reach.
At John Bozworths home near Sedalia on Sunday October 23 relatives and friends numbered sixty three attended a sumptuous dinner in honor of William Bozworths seventy ninth birthday. Guests included many Bozworth relatives and spouses with members from Marshall county Ind Kokomo Raber Ind Rossville and Frankfort Indiana in attendance.
On Wednesday evening the band boys surprised citizens by serenading business houses on the streets. Flora should have a year round band. Myer and Eaton gave each member ear muffs as a treat. Director Arthur Metsker urged the gathering. The band boys praised Doctor genera and plan to meet again.
Within the past ten days the canning factory at Delphi has shipped a trainload of its products to southern and eastern markets.
Mrs. William Dillard 33 was found dead in a chicken coop one half mile west of Poplar Grove Monday at 10. The death was attributed to heart failure. Her husband and three children aged 14 12 and 3 survive. The community expresses sympathy as authorities investigate.
A. J. McCarty, a farmer near Rossville, suffered a deep wound over an eye in what many believe was a vicious assault. He was found unconscious in a buggy at a Sedalia-area property and remains in critical condition at the home of Mrs. Gardner near Sedalia. He had been driving home from Sedalia late at night.
Robert McMahan 79 died at his Bringhurst home from heart failure early Monday. A Civil War veteran and longtime Sugar Creek Baptist church deacon, he lived 58 years in Carroll County. He is survived by his son George and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Sugar Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. P. M. Kendall.
Citizens of Clymers report frequent crashes at the Wabash crossing. A buggy carrying Homer and Oscar Watson was struck by a fast train one horse killed, they escaped unharmed. Days later Cyrus Mullet's wagon with four aboard was hit. one horse died and all occupants escaped unharmed. The engineer slowed the train to avert a fatal outcome. residents urge an electric bell at the crossing. Mr and Mrs A L Akers and Mina Ruth Akers travel to Denver for the winter.
William Dillen of Young America reportedly disappeared from his home leaving wife and four children. He reportedly left Friday night and may have gone to St Louis with residents claiming he will not return. The town cites domestic trouble as the motive.

Weddings include William P Gillam and Flora Kirkpatrick near Wheeling and Earl Haun and Losa Jacoby in Burlington. A Delphi farming group funds oil or gas drilling on John Calvert farm.
Burrows feed recounts Lucinda Kendall born December 5 1609 as county oldest resident. If she lives she will reach 95. she resides with daughter Mrs Campbell in Camden and remains spry despite past illnesses.

Ada and Lilian Nowels hosted the Young Ladies Circle and Guild Tuesday evening with a Dutch supper. Rebekah lodge gentlemen hosted a supper for the ladies of the order later, a lively season highlight. Harley Clingenpeel family visited Ivan Sharp near Frankfort Sunday. Elizabeth Lane of Burrows wed Harry Watts at Logansport last week and will live there.
