School Boy Forged Checks Sparks Manhunt
An 18 year old Camden youth Watson Simmons is a fugitive after forging two checks on Niccum Todd & Co. one for 835 and 256 to Walter Hawkins. Simmons endorsed the checks as Walter Hawkins and cashed them through Farmers Bank. After discovery he fled, having earlier worked for David Wise and received a check from Wise which he used to pattern the fraud. Gibbs in Flora after his burial in Winfield Kansas surfacing in the notice.
