In Carroll circuit court at Delphi Judge Claybaugh ruled two thirds of the 120 acre Burlington township farm owed by Bright belong to the Justice heirs. Bright’s lawyers immediately moved for a new trial. the case may reach the state supreme court. Trustee Prods Tuition Pay for Ross Township Students
Ross township trustee in Clinton county faced a tuition dispute with Frankfort city over high school attendance. After Rossville schools closed eight pupils moved to Frankfort, parents sought $2.00 monthly tuition, the trustee refused until the State Superintendent ruled the trustee must cover tuition for township students attending a neighboring high school. Next winter many Ross township youths may enroll in Frankfort school as law requires tuition payment when no commissioned high school exists nearby.

Jakie Cohen, a former Delphi junk dealer, testified at his Chicago bankruptcy exam last Saturday that he lost 4000 dollars in one Chicago poker night and 18000 dollars in a few nights in Terre Haute.
