Kenneth Annett, manager of Farmers' Grain and Milling, plunged 20 feet from the bean elevator Saturday afternoon. Decline Shown In County Tax Levy For Coming Year
The 1923 county tax levy was fixed at 90 cents per hundred valuation, down from last year’s 95 cents. County valuation fell from about 29.16 million to 25 million, yielding an estimated 252000 in revenue this year versus 27083.28 last year, with changes across current expense, school fund, bond interest, county fair, and hospital levies. Idaho begins rural school supervision next week with two district supervisors Miss Margaret Sweet and Miss Katherine Burgraf. Sweet oversees Idaho City and Boise County in the First District, Burgraf covers Bingham County in the Second District. Ideal weather drew a record crowd of about 14 000 to the Twin Falls county fair last week with a major livestock exhibit and varied entertainment. Total attendance including exhibitors and staff reached about 16 000, and Thursday saw 6 500 attendees with gate receipts near 2000 dollars.
