Exhibits show high quality across cattle, horses, sheep, fruit and vegetables, and a strong display of women’s handiwork, baking, and dairy products. The baby health clinic, run with state and federal support, features in the women’s rest area. Racing and wild west events draw daily crowds. pleasant weather and ample shade enhance a smooth, busy four days.

Thirty-six carloads of Elberta peaches shipped from canyon orchards this season. Crystal Springs produced 23 carloads, Niagara Springs 12, and John S. Gourley ranch 3. Much fruit sold to individuals and peddlers. Harvest rush recently peaked and workers were pressed into service.

The Rev C E Deal who has led the local Methodist church for six years departs for field agent duties with Gooding college and White Cross work. Dr J D Gillilan of Blackfoot becomes pastor. Rev Er White is named superintendent of Pocatello district. Deal will preach a farewell sermon and move to Gooding next week. He will divide duties between Gooding college work and the White Cross at Lava Hot Springs. Dr Gillilan, now in Boise, recuperates from surgery and will likely occupy the pulpit in about three weeks.
