Twin Falls County Fair Opens Next Tuesday With Four Day Run
The Fifth Annual Twin Falls County Fair launches next Tuesday for four days with a $100,000 valuation of the forty acre fair grounds. Central location at Filer, improvements over five years include three large livestock pavilions and an annex, eight comfort stations, a ten acre park, a half mile track, and a new office building. Nearly 50 paid staff, extensive exhibits, and 4000 purses planned for racing promise a record showing with events for children and a busy schedule across ten buildings hosting farm, livestock, and machinery displays.

Grain Car Relief Not Hopeful, Says Railroad Officer
A. L. Frehhafer, president of the state public utilities commission, says prospects for adequate grain car relief are not hopeful. Klenry C. Hall, interstate commerce commissioner, notes Oregon Short Line to the Oregon Washington lines are unfit for bulk grain shipments. Knicker works to repair defective cars as every effort is made to relieve the car shortage. There is no shortage of refrigerator or stock cars according to Preohafer.

Legion to Conduct Dances at Root Garden During Fair
The American Legion post in Twin Falls plans dances at its Root Garden during the county fair September 14 to 17 from 2 p m to midnight or 1 a m.
