Civil War Veteran L Crosne Dies at Fort Dodge
Death notices report Mr. L. Crosne, aged TS, died September 7 at the soldiers home in Fort Dodge Kansas after a long illness. A Civil War veteran, he had lived in Dodge with his wife briefly earlier this year. Funeral services are scheduled for the next day with interment in the soldiers cemetery at Fort Bodine. He is survived by his widow and several relatives in Kansas.

Ten year old Eiis Neyman daughter of Mr and Mrs Neyman of Deep Creek was fatally struck in the school yard Friday when a swinging apparatus resting near the ground fell and struck her on the head. The accident occurred in the local school yard drawing sharp sorrow as neighbors mourn the loss of the young pupil.

False Fire Alarm Ignites Sooty Chimney at Fifth Street Home
A false fire alarm Thursday noon drew the town's volunteer department to J. Rehiffler's Fifth Street residence after chimney soot ignited. The engine and crew arrived quickly, extended a line to the Preamings, but extinguished the non-existent blaze with no damage. The building had previously belonged to LO Hughes and was owned by H. H. Sebildtun.
