Sunday afternoon Prather jumped from a Ford when brakes failed on Clark's grade. The car sped over a 300 foot embankment into Cedar Draw canyon, wrecked with twisted machinery. Prather, unhurt aside from a broken thumb and cuts, credits luck and recalls the fall as unavoidable. The driver was employed by Orvil Creed and resided north of Filer.
