Union Pacific to intensify east colonization plan
Omaha March 15 A plan named Selective Colonization to place settlers on fertile land tributary to the Pacific system was announced by H M Adams VP in charge of traffic. Reduced round trip rates one fare plus 2 will be offered with sales from March to November. The railroad will advertise and investigators will follow up with field staff to match settlers with land and home surroundings and assist in moving household goods and livestock.

Thieves Break In to Drug Store on Sunday Morning
Thieves entered the Modern Drug store through a back window early Sunday, stealing merchandise including two fireeyes of finger cues in a display case. Proprietors believe about 80 worth of goods were taken, though verification is hard. Entrance was gained by cutting bars and breaking the glass in a window frame. No clues were found.
Rural High School Benefit Matinee Opens Showcase
