Arthur A Anderson was reappointed secretary treasurer and N Grant was named road director by the new board of commissioners at an adjourned meeting Monday. George Leonard G G Diehl and Ray L Shearer were sworn in Saturday to organize and Leonard was elected president with Shearer as vice president. The board approved continued road work centering on three miles near Filer. Minutes will appear in the official publication.

Rothwell Canal Company Adopts Re employed Legal Advisor
The newly elected board of directors unanimously re employed James R. Rothwell as attorney for the Twin Falls Canal Company at his current salary. Discussion focused on potential conflicts with Judge Bothwell at American Falls reservoir district, but no conflict was found since Rothwell serves no other project in the district. The meeting, called by retiring president Ivan G. Lincoln, organized the new board with N. V. Sharp as a member. Carl J. Miller was elected president, T. M. John Wolfenden’s bid of 250 dollars to audit the company’s past year’s books was accepted. President Miller said the choice of general manager would wait until the next Times meeting.

Boise January 16 During 1923 there were 8772 new passenger automobiles sold in Idaho according to registration reports from the Idaho Automotive association. The total may have reached around 9000 including some unregistered. Truck sales for 1923 stood at 667 compared with 402 in 1922. Geographic breakdown lists Ada 1216 Bannock 612 Twin Falls 644 Latah 627 Canyon 716 and other counties with smaller figures.
