Canal Election Yields Split Board Of Twin Falls Canal
The Twin Falls Canal company elected a geographically balanced board in its annual Tuesday election. Ivan G. Lincoln of Filer and Claude Brows and JH Barker of Buhl were re elected, Kennedy of Kimberly and Charles W Comer of Hansen new to the board. The meeting approved continuing current policies, with one reform considered. Seavey was chosen chair and the manager’s report praised, while a vote to cooperate on regional irrigation projects and reservoir plans passed with broad support despite past drought concerns.

Filer Restores Two Daily Trains Despite Fuel Shortage
The fuel shortage forces OBEL to discontinue the 4 05 pm eastbound and the 10 52 am westbound trains. A single mid day 12 05 pm train remains from Gee emet, returning from Poh in the afternoon to the east at 4 17 pm. This reshapes schedules, reduces eastbound mail from Filer, and shifts Twin Falls afternoon papers to auto delivery to keep burbers on time.
