Blaze Tears Through Buhl Struc tures Including Stone Theater

A Tuesday night fire in Buhl of unknown origin destroyed the Stone theater, a three story stone edifice, and six other buildings, with estimated losses of 50,000. The blaze, aided by a 45 mile per hour wind, began around 3 am, hampering firefighting as water supply was cut off by street work. Several nearby businesses suffered losses from 500 to 8,000, while the Boise Payette Lumber plant escaped damage.

Benefit for Blind Man At Cedar Draw

A box supper at the Cedar Draw school house near Filer will raise funds for Virgil Robinson who leaves April 15 for an eastern musical tour.
