Rev John Becher of Vincennes spent a week with his parents and celebrated high mass. Henry Denning and wife marked their tenth wedding anniversary. Local residents and friends gathered for a pleasant afternoon at the Denning home. Paul Senninger employed tiler John Vogler to tile land. St Meinrad Brick and Tile Co began a new oven. Julius Becher returned to M Becher & Sons planning mill. Henry Meiering recovered from illness and resumed creamery butterwork. John Fabian and Evansville’s Reisinger plastered the chapel. Fabian’s contractor brother visited Sunday. Rev Father Benno Gerber and Jacob Neu traveled to Huntingburg. Neu handled company business. John Wissel delivered a carload of fertilizer to Farmers Association members. Next Monday free school begins. Sunday ball games favored the Seminarians, with college boys winning a local clash near the pond. Christian Ackermann left for Chicago with his son John. John Ackermann and family visiting.
