Indiana Banks Lend State Money at 5 1 2 Percent
Indiana state board of finance increased temporary indebtedness to 685000 and arranged a 250000 loan at 5 1 2 percent through Merchants National Indiana Trust and Indiana National banks extending to December 31. Earlier August borrowing totaled 435000 with Fletcher American National and other banks providing funds. Proceeds to be split between benevolent institutions and general funds. taxes in December and October advances expected to meet year end obligations.
