Brenner-Meyer wedding in Hill Indiana May 27

A pretty morning ceremony in Hill Indiana joined Miss Bertha Brenner and Louis Meyer with Rev. Mark Meyer officiating. The bride wore cream-white messaline with a veil and carried roses and ferns. The maid of honor wore pink messaline and the groom’s brother served as best man. The couple, oldest Brenner daughter and Meyer relative attended, will reside on a farm west of town after an all day reception at the bride’s parents home.

Watch Thief Foiled In Town Heist

A heavyset man disguised as a salesman robbed Reckelhoff and Muller of a $413.50 watch before being arrested by Marshal Bartley. He confessed with excuses of sickness and hurried to flee town, later hiring transport toward Johnsburg as police pursued. He wore a Panama hat, glasses, light hair, and carried a leather case for sheet music.

Mrs John Henry Reckelhoff Dies After Short Illness

Mrs John Henry Reckelhoff nee Maria Anna Kellets died at her home near town Friday morning after a short illness of dropsy. Born February 14 1889 in Oolstrap Germany she was 75 years 3 months at death. She came to America as a young woman settling in Cincinnati where she married John Reckelhoff. Survived by six children August Reckelhoff Louisville Mrs Houry Remke Jos Frank and Herman Reckelhoff. Interment Monday at eight in Ferdinand Cemetery.
