Peter Mueller Answers Call in Long Life of Business

Obituary notes Peter Mueller born September 7 1839 in Rascheid Prussia died Sunday of bronchial pneumonia at 1 15 pm He immigrated as a boy married Caroline Vilges in 1860 and built the White Lily flour mill later operated by Muller Bros Milling Co He fathered twelve children and was known for jovial disposition and honest dealings Interment was at St Ferdinand cemetery after a requiem mass and large funeral attendance Also mentions a public sale bid for an electric light plant and local comments about college education and local life.

Frank C. Thiemann and Tony Buechler spent Wednesday in town. Pius Oeding of Terre Haute spent days here and at St. Henry. He made a pleasant call Wednesday. Christ Mehling went to Jasper Monday on business. Albert Leng of Evansville spent weekend in town with his father. Mrs. E. E. Metzger and children were at Evansville last week.
