Mrs. Sarah Victoria Bretz nee Rottet died at her Bretzville home on April 1 at age 81 10 2. She was born in Carbon France on May 10 1840 and came to America as a child. Survived by husband Jacob Bretz Sr eight children twenty-one grandchildren and one sister. Funeral held at home with Rev Kitterer. burial in Bretzville cemetery. Mariah Hill April 6 reports Mrs. Jacob Nord aged 36 died March 31 after a year of illness from a complication of diseases. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Arnold, with husband, brother Joseph Arnold, sister Mrs. Christ Michel of St. Henry among the mourners. Funeral services were held Monday at eight in the church, Rev. A. Bauer officiating.

Aged Citizen Kasper Schnellenberger Passes in St Meinrad
Kasper Schnellenberger died Saturday at 6 25 am after a five day illness. Born 1846 in Wuerzburg Germany he fought in the 1870 71 German French war. He arrived in the U S in 1881 settling at St Meinrad and was 75 years 5 months 18 days old. He leaves a wife ten children two sons Engelbert Karl three daughters Mary Christina Troesch Lena Teugel and 12 grandchildren. Funeral at Meinrad cemetery with Requiem High Mass conducted by Rev Alois Schnellenberger Balancing fraternal society memberships noted.
