At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jos Havlik Sr in St Louis a Ferdinand crowd shared a calm Christmas. Attendees included Alice and Mamie Havlik Elenora Katharine Carolina Marie Bromm Francis Oscar Shlav lik Leo J Woorter and Jos M Petry. A grand banquet with Limberger cheese and beer opened festivities followed by gifts, toasts, games led by Miss Brumm and Miss Mamie Havlik. The group stayed up late for mass and some later complained of headaches. Wonder why.
Democratic voters in Dirhk and Pike counties are asked to support Jno K. Chappell for Prosecuting Attorney in the joint primary on March 17. He appeals to Pike, Dubois, and Dubois county Democrats, urging scrutiny of his record and a fair, honest performance for the people.
