Miner Falls Forty-Eight Feet Down a Coal Shaft

Application For Liquor License In Ferdinand Indiana

Joe Barth, a 21 year old resident of Ferdinand Indiana, applies to the Dubois County Board of Commissioners at the March 1912 term for leave to sell spirituous, vinous and malt liquors in limited quantity for one year from license date. The premises are a 19x20 foot room on the ground floor of a two story frame building on the northwest corner of lot 234, facing Ohio and Lafayette Streets, with luncheon and confection sales in connection. The license is sought under the act regulating liquor sales.

Injured Man Simon Braunecker Dies After Fall

Simon Braunecker, injured by a falling tree last week, died last Thursday at his home in St. Henry. Authorities found he suffered internal injuries beyond a broken leg. The 2 year old boy was laid to rest in St. Henry cemetery last Saturday morning. The community offers sympathy to the bereaved.
