Cardinal Gibbons Dies Quietly in Baltimore
James Cardinal Gibbons archbishop of Baltimore and senior prelate of the Catholic Church in the United States died at 11:30 Thursday of last week in Baltimore. His body lay in his room until Easter Sunday night before being moved to the Cathedral for masses and later returned to the crypt under the cathedral high altar.
