On May 29 1918 Miss Etta Dixon died after a pneumonia battle begun in January. She endured much with patience and, though her death seemed untimely in the bloom of youth, she passed to join her Master as God willed.
A compassionate young woman named Etta passed after a brief illness. She joined the Methodist church early, remained devoted to worship and Sunday school, and faced death with calm faith. Her pastor lauded her unselfish Christian character and love for family and home.

Etta Eureka Dixon daughter of Mr and Mrs J W Dixon of Fayetteville Ga born May 4 1892 in Fayette County Georgia died May 29 1918 after a Christian life of devotion and church work She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church South at age 12 and was remembered for her bright cheerful spirit and faithfulness now resting in her heavenly home in Fayetteville Sept 11 1918.
