A. C. Norman argues against the last legislature's creation of a new circuit from Flint Circuit claiming higher taxes, lengthier courts, and political favors. He cites short local court terms in Henry and neighboring counties and urges referendums and reform of judges’ pay and solicitor generals.

Names span multiple districts with judges and clerks noted among the jurors.
The Griffin Judicial Circuit was created August 17, 1928 by act approved by the governor. Wm. E. H. Searcy Jr. was named judge and E. M. Owen solicitor general. The act transfers civil and criminal proceedings to the Griffin Circuit superior courts and fixes court terms in Spalding, Upson, and Fayette counties, with specific Mondays listed and limited grand juries. August 24, 1928.
The Superior Court in Payette County Georgia orders a special term beginning the third Monday in September 1923. Civil cases will be called in the first week and criminal cases in the second week. Jurors drawn for the September term will serve the special term. The order will be posted at the courthouse and published in the Fayetteville News.
Sunday school and singing drew a good crowd at Flat Creek with preaching by Epther Falcon Brown. Local families including the Griggs Aiken and Hall families shared visits, weekend stays, and Sunday dinners with relatives around the Creek.
