Mrs Maude Sparkman Wesley moves to Woolsey with spring and summer hats and low prices beginning March 14.
Eggs for hatch ing offered at 1.00 per setting by Mrs S Z Stephens of Woolsey Ga. Farmers Union to meet at The Rock church on March 11 1914 with Brother W J Debardeleben preaching at 11 o clock. Public day expected. all invited. Also notice of 40 brand tomatoes canned by county club girls with each label bearing the name of the contributing girl. Walter Sama of Sylvester visits Fayette County friends after returning from away over 12 years.
W B Holmnesworth promotes 11 to 15 500 lb cotton bales plus corn yields with Guano and invites price inquiries. J H Stephens sells 4H brand tomatoes. W N D Dixon invites enrollments for school clubs including corn pig canning and poultry clubs and asks for names.
The Baptist Church will host a special Sunday service at 11 a.m with a guest speaker. An afternoon meeting is planned at 3 p.m directed by Mrs J P Nichols of Griffin. A subsequent week of prayer services will be announced Sunday along with the program. More than four hundred bushels of corn will be shipped from the county this week for one crop. Mr Frank Davis near Sandy Creek sold over 130 bushels and has 20 bushels in his crib. he received 1 50 per bushel and expects more than 200 from his corn crop to support his farm.
Mrs. E J Snead and Miss Frances Brown hosted a social miscellaneous shower for Mrs. Roscoe Minter at Woolsey last Monday afternoon. Guests enjoyed a flag themed hall, a musical marriage contest with flag scorecards, and a patriotic wagon presentation by Mary Minter. Refreshments of salad, hot coffee, and a sweet course followed, with attendees including Mrs. John Minter, Mrs. W H Sams, Misses Annie Gay and Sadie B Weldon among about thirty guests.
