Farmers Institute Set for Fayette County July Meeting
A Fayette County farmers institute will be held in Fayetteville on July 31 with specialists from the State College of Agriculture Athens Ga to discuss immediate farming topics. A Home Demonstration Department woman speaker will cover food conservation and canning preservation and economical diet tips. Men speakers will cover planting plans pest and disease control and general conservation work. Mr F F Davidson county demonstration agent will lead. The day features speakers R A Stratford G St Bigford Paul Tabor and Miss Floy Shannon with a demonstration by Miss Lela M Dickson Home Demonstration Agent.

The Woman's Club met Monday afternoon on the courthouse lawn with Mesdames Nipper Dixon Sams Miss Winner Blalock among attendees. Members read articles and committees gave reports. New books donated by Dan Blalock and Mrs Culpepper boosted library holdings to about 300 books. refreshments followed.

Farewell to Maddie Hoffman Great Grandmother
The obituary notes Mrs. M. A. Hoffman of Fayette County born July 25 1833 in Fayetteville Ga died June 2 after a long life of faith service and family. She joined the Methodist church young and served with care for the sick and needy. Survived by two sisters 7 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral by Rev J McD Radford at Bethany Cemetery with burial to await the trumpet.
