Baptists Open 13th Y P U Convention in Atlanta
The thirteenth annual convention of the Baptist Young People's Union of America opened in Atlanta Georgia with over 600 delegates from across the United States and Canada. President John H Chapman of Chicago called the session to order in Exposition Park Auditorium as Rev Ralph Hobbs of Iowa offered the opening prayer. Governor Terrell delivered a welcome speech praising Georgia’s climate and Baptist heritage amid remarks from Atlanta officials and state church leaders.
