Revival Meeting At Methodist Church Enters July
Revival meetings begin the third Sunday in July at the Methodist church and run two weeks. Rev R A Edmondson of St Paul Atlanta will lead preaching, J J Davis will direct music. Cottage prayer meetings occur each Friday with Brother Guy and Brother Mize in charge. Charley Dixon and Brother Banks lead country cottage meetings as arranged.

War alters annual Brooks 4th song service
The Brooks area canceled the 4th of July singing due to war conditions marking the first nonobservance since 1865 at Brooks or County Line. Schools report good attendance but some children still absent. Church members attended the County Line quarterly conference with a notable sermon by the Presiding Elder and a wartime dinner. Mrs J Ira Jones and children left for Kentucky to visit relatives. Mr W Ri Hardy is first to harvest watermelons though his invitation to the HOA could not be accepted.
