Community items report gifts for Christmas visitors and thanks to friends. Names include Nina Camp of Fairburn visiting L C Dickson. gatherings at Crystal Camp with families such as Hearn and Dickson. public meeting and church note urging attendance for a sermon on family values. school opening at nearby district with teachers and students listed and a note about overdue accounts at Firp Merc and How Co.
Fragmentary program details list a meeting in Fayette County with sessions including devotional exercises by W J DeBardeleben, Panama Exposition discussion led by J W Blackwell, and round table talks. Intermission, 1:30 PM, with planning discussion led by S Ward and Miss Lela Dick noted.
Fifteen Fayetteville ladies organize to form an Improvement Club later named Woman's Club of Fayetteville. Dues five cents monthly or fifty cents yearly. Officers elected include Hollingsworth president and Blalock secretary. Missionary society also held its first 1915 meeting with new officers and pledges while other local notices report deaths, elections, bank dividends, and school openings.
Misses Mary and Sarah Reid of Atlanta mourn the death of Bascomb Kelley who died December 30 and was buried January 1, 1915 at the family burial ground two miles from Pass Bek Brooks. Funeral services were at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. A S Scott.
Our town mourns the sudden death of Mr. T Crowne on Sunday morning from Speeiny. A widow of Miss Onie Carnes of Jonesbo ro is noted as a recent guest of Mrs Is J Carnes. Dr John Graves of Zebulon visited his aunt Mrs ws Austin on Sunday. Misses Mae Vera West and Janie Lou Johnson stayed with Misses Bessie and Jennie Davis Tuesday night. Mrs Mary Reid is reported sick.
