Hearing set at the Atlanta office on Thursday January 10 1918 at 10 am by order of the Railroad Commission of Georgia. WT Gentry president. The Woman's Club met at Mrs McCallum's with joint hostesses Mesdames V Jones Malone Dettmering Colvin. Book shower collected about fifty books for the library. Miss Camp sang a vocal solo. Miss Bert Davin provided music. Various book titles praised. tea and sandwiches served. Contributions of library books invited to Mrs Culpepper. The town aims for a new library. The first crossing of the Andes by meroneute is noted, begun in Sansiego Chile and landing near Mendoza Argentina four hours later.
