In Memoriam Zadie Knowles A Devoted Matriarch
Zadie Knowles died December 10 after a long life born December 7, 1842. She joined Flat Creek Baptist Church in 1866, married T. A. Knowles the same year, and had 11 children, ten living to adulthood. She later joined New Hope Church in 1902, was faithful and kind, and inspired faith in God despite trials. Funeral notices include Rev. C. A Adams, Rev. G. B. Walker, Lawrence Bray, and Joannie Wallis.
