Elgin Exhibitor Uses Pedal Delivery to Enter Chickens
Elgin exhibitor T Ryan shipped chickens to Oklahoma City on Monday for the state fair. He notified the fair association secretary to enter the birds by six o clock Monday. Realizing the Monday mail issue, he arranged pedal delivery and used the telephone to ensure the entry reached before closing.

Burned Feet Injury Attributable To Hot Loft
A child of C. E. Gibson and wife living south of the Stony Point school house suffered serious foot burns Saturday after stepping into a hot loft while burning trash. The incident occurred in the vicinity of the Stony Point area.

Coroner's Inquest Clears Railroad Over Cheyenne Death
The Coroner's jury finds Frank Crawford died September 9 1914 near Archer Cheyenne Wy after being struck by Union Pacific train No 10 while crossing to resume labor as a section laborer. The verdict releases the railroad, noting factors of double track curve and a deer cut. Crawford, who died at 3 pm, was buried in Cheyenne Monday.

Big Singing Convention Held in Elgin Next Month
Northern Comanche county plans a large singing convention in Elgin on October 4 with performers from near and far. Besides songs the program includes quartets and anthems, plus instrumental numbers. The assembly will relocate the arbor north of Coffin tote to the Methodist church west side to spread a basket dinner, promising Elgin’s biggest day since July 4, 1913.

Dr H M Winnn Plans Move to Oklahoma City
Dr H M Winnn of Sterling announced Saturday he would locate in Oklahoma City at 60, after selling all interests at Sterling. He said it marked his thirteenth year there and noted his permanent fixture status, adding his son Winn has also sold his assets at Sterling.
