Rev Oscar Evenson preached at the Motesins Sunday evening before his return to the Oklahoma conference, after a period of salary delay. He plans to attend Oklahoma City college and preach locally, with a possible assignment to Wood Memorial clinic near Cement.
A garbled OCR passage lists scattered names and terms with no clear event or narrative. No coherent subjects or actions emerge beyond miscellaneous fragments and likely misspelled proper nouns.
School notes report strong overall progress with good enrollment and rising interest in athletics and literary efforts. Freshmen compete for top averages led by Arthur, Nellie, and Homer. A local event featured a quartet including two totally blind singers and a 60 year old member who performed readings in a darkened hall. The program included a tale of a blind wife and a humorous anecdote of a darkey wedding, with portions of the service and a controversial scene described in detail. One fourth of the proceedings supported a local school district.
J Evanson reported losing a lady's watch on the Star Route train from Merits to Sterling. He phoned Sterling for help and Levi Hellowell confirmed that Dr Hitch had found the watch.
