Death of Xenia Maud Johnson at Gilliland home
Xenia Maud Johnson died of blood poisoning at the Gilliland home west of Wigin on Tuesday January 5. She was 18 years and 6 days old. Funeral services were held at the Gilliland home Wednesday at 8 PM by Rev. D L Hinchley of Elin with interment in Mr. Scott cemetery. Born December 30 1896 to Mr. and Mrs. M L Stites, she had lived with relatives and planned to move to Missouri. She married Ernest Johnson April 12, 1914 and leaves an infant Carril Elmer, her parents, five sisters and three brothers.
