Death of M Gibson at Roe after illness long
M Gibson died at his home in Roe at midnight on December 27 after an illness of over two weeks. He served in Company B of the 17th Regiment Infantry Volunteers as a Baton soldier and was honorably discharged at war’s end. He married Emma Lieatts on March 14, 1876 in Winchester and lived in Michigan until 1897 when they moved near Yukon Oklahoma.
