Both youths reside in Custer County Nebraska and are about to begin married life against parental wishes. The bride, 16, met the groom near home and traveled with him to St Joseph to wed before coming to Troy. They notified their parents by wire that night.

W R C Ladies Host Compliment to Mrs Cline and Open New Season
The W R C entertained at Mrs W S Korner's home last Thursday for Mrs W T Cline. The Woman's club began its new season with a musical program at Miss Banks's, despite bad weather, drawing about thirty members and guests. The program featured Schumann songs and pianist solos, with a concluding four hands piece. Death by own action shocks Shubert citizen
Frank Leslie Jr. cut his throat in a fit of temporary insanity at his Shubert home on a Tuesday. A physician dressed the wounds but Leslie bled to death after bandages were removed. Born March 10 1830 in Balrbarbay Ireland he had lived near Shubert for 15 20 years. Funeral at 11 Thursday from the family residence conducted by Rev G W Hawley. Leslie was a respected Shubert citizen.

Burglars Break Into South Town Grocery During Band Night
Last Thursday night burglars entered Mr. Jackson's grocery in the south part of town while a band concert drew crowds uptown. They seized a revolver and several small items, but missed two hundred dollars tucked in a nearby cigar box.
