The funeral of George S. Dornington was held at the Methodist church in Falls City last Sunday afternoon. He was buried in the family vault at Steele Cemetery. The Yuma Sentinel account recalls a well loved, active man of 64 who died after a five day illness, likely heart complications, and notes his unselfish kindness and loss to family and community. Rev. Lindenmeyer will preach farewell services at the Christian church next Sunday.

Mary Belle Painter Pyle, born December 24, 1850 at Mt. Carroll Illinois, died March 16 1907 after a life spanning Illinois Kansas and Nebraska.
