Ladies Entertain at Woodmen Circle Lodge Event

The Woodmen Circle ladies hosted the lodge in the W O W hall Saturday evening. Strawberries, ice cream and cake were served and guests reported a most enjoyable time.

Prof. William Harnack signed a contract yesterday to supply both band and orchestra for the Salem-Chautauqua. Rehearsals start immediately and Chau tauqua patrons are assured of first class music throughout the session.

Boy Bitten by Dog Receives Surgical Attention

A child of Chas Leizke was bitten Wednesday by a dog owned by Mrs. Davis on Morgan Place. The boy was hurt on both legs with the left leg injury severe enough to need surgical care.

County Board in Session Adjusts Tax Protests

County supervisors have been in session this week as a board of equalization and have listened to many protests and adjusted many matters pertaining to taxation. The board will probably remain in session about two weeks.

Death of Preston druggist Oscar Frohberg under unknown cause

Oscar Frohberg a druggist in Preston was found dead in his store Tuesday morning. Coroner Reneker and a jury ruled death as unknown in cause but not due to violence. Frohberg, about 35 and unmarried, left a grieving mother. John Wiltse passed the Lincoln bar exam with top grades in a class of fifteen.
