Social clubs hold gatherings in a lively town week
The J A Needle club met Tuesday with refreshments after work and plans for next week at Rev Manshardt's home. Helen Martin hosted friends Monday for Mayme Wustice of Auburn. Fifteen young ladies hosted gentlemen at Wahl hall Wednesday with refreshments at Shields Cafe. Kensington events and whist parties were held at the homes of Simanton and Harry Pence, Mrs Pear Lute hosted a masquerade, and the Young Married Kensington club hosted a dance dinner Saturday at Wahl hall. Womans club heard a lecture on Italian art with Miss Anita Wilson's violin, and funds were organized to aid the high school band. The next meeting is Feb 19 at Miss Ethel Cade's residence. Mrs Hargrave and Mrs Warner hosted two large parties with Kensingtons, whist, and eight tables of whist at 2:30. The Tournament Whist Club met at Reavis's with refreshments. John Martin and Maude Wigton hosted a whist party for John Dorrington. about thirty young people attended.
