Sunday morning death claimed Mrs T F Brown a well known elder in Humboldt after a long cancer illness. A pioneer couple of Richardson County the Browns settled over fifty years ago on frontier land later moving to Humboldt. She leaves husband Mr Brown and two daughters Mrs Virgie Boaz of Burlington Junction and Mrs Mary Starks of Kansas City.

Girl Breaks Collar Bone After Fall at John Wilson Home

Child Diagnosed With Scarlet Fever Leads to Quarantine
John A. Crook was taken ill Saturday evening with scarlet fever diagnosed by Dr Boose. The city physician notified the city board of health and sustained the diagnosis, placing a quarantine on the premises. John is reported improving as we go to press.

Burglars Strike Rulo Nebraska Saloons
The Davis and Leeds saloon at Rulo was broken into Sunday night by unknown parties who seized two revolvers and $15. They forced entry into George N. Ocomb’s store but fled before any loot was taken. This marks the third such attempt in months targeting town businesses. Earlier raids gained cash, whiskey and cigars from John Kanaly’s saloon, and watches and jewelry from R. S. Coupe, with no suspects yet apprehended.

Funeral services were held for Christina Albrecht at the Spaeth residence with interment in Steele Cemetery after her death at 84. Her long residence in Richardson County traced back to Arago. Howard D Bucher of Lisbon Ia. died at 22 after a life in the family furniture business and strong church involvement. He was a nephew of Samuel Bucher and left a grieving father and sister.
