A Saturday evening ceremony at Tootle theatre welcomed thirty five graduates from Ensworth Central Medical College in St. Joseph. Dr. J. W. Hedden conferred degrees. Dr. O. B. Campbell gave the faculty address. Rev. E. H. Eckel spoke. Edward R. Hayes and Olin B. Hawley were among the graduates from Hum boldt and Auburn respectively.

A Tuesday morning collapse at the Pirate Mining Co site left Jas McFarland Jr. dead after a 64 foot shaft incident. Rescue efforts involved A M Pullen and Jerry Richards. Drs Reneker and Houston pronounced fatal skull injuries. The town mourns as Mrs McFarland and family receive support.
