Mystery blasts kitchen at Dennison farm near Washington
Washington Ia Sept 11 The kitchen stove and summer kitchen at the F M Dennison farm northeast of the city were blown to pieces this morning during breakfast. No injuries occurred. A loud report shook the area as the stove blew apart and debris shattered the building. Authorities speculate an explosive substance, possibly dynamite, caused the blast, though no motive or weapon is identified.

Badly Hurt in Fall From Wagon at Packwood
Packwood Iowa September 9 John Gantz was badly injured yesterday when a load of tile tipped as he sat on them driving a wagon up a steep bank. The tile rolled at a sharp curve throwing him about eight feet to the lower ground injuring his left shoulder and clavicle. He was carried into the depot and then home for care.
