After a brief illness Mrs Bruce S Ratcliff died Sunday at her South Second Street home at 6 30 pm Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home with Rev W R Keesey of the Methodist church in charge Interment was in Evergreen cemetery Matilda C Crail born July 19 1866 in Jefferson county Iowa married Bruce S Ratcliff November 22 1898 at Ottumwa She was a Congregationalist and member of Eastern Stars Daughters of the American Revolution She leaves her husband her mother Frank Crail Jr a nephew James Crail and wife Mrs David Cassat a niece Captain B F Crail Mrs Cynthia Grafton and many cousins plus a host of friends and neighbors.
