Stout Sentenced to Eight Years for Manslaughter
William Stout of Clinton Iowa pled guilty to manslaughter in the murder of Frank Stewart and was sentenced by Judge Ramsier to eight years in the penitentiary. The killing occurred about a year ago and evidence was largely circumstantial. After the murder trial opened he arranged to plead guilty to manslaughter and the murder charge was withdrawn.
