Mrs Nancy Fetter died at her daughter Abbie Hoffmans home in Atlantic and Fairfield on a Sunday afternoon at 1 15 PM age ninety years five months twenty two days Born April 9 1809 in Hunting County Pennsylvania her family moved to Bedford County and later Iowa She married John C Fetter in 1827 and ten children were born three survive Mary married Daniel Jones Los Angeles California Louisa Mrs J B Stevens St Louis Missouri Abbie Mrs Isaac Hoffman Fairfield Funeral services were held at her home on West Hempstead Street conducted by Rev Clifford Snowdon Congregational Church the deceased had long resided in Fairfield and endured age with little suffering.

Charter Oak Band Finishes Open Air Concert Season
The Charter Oak Band wrapped up its outdoor concert series last Saturday night after weekly performances since July first. Twenty two members led by director T H Jones entertained a large crowd on the square, with support from Turney Charter Oak Wagon Works workers. Weather ends outdoor concerts for the year, but merchants’ patronage helped the band financially.
