William Keltner Died After Auto Struck Incident
William Keltner, about 53, died at the county hospital Saturday from injuries suffered when struck Friday evening by a Whitmore son’s automobile on a Fairfield highway near College Addition. He had walked into the road to let a passing car pass, then stepped back into the lane. He leaves no wife, farmed in Fairfield, and worked for Fairfield Iron and Metal Co. He was brother to Chas Keltner, an insurance man. The Whitmore driver’s speed was described as moderate. no witnesses beyond the collision.
