Longtime Jefferson County Pioneer Fogarty Dies
Thomas Bogarty died at his daughter’s home on West Broadway after weeks of illness. Born in Ireland in 1823, he came to America in 1853 and worked for railroads in Newark and Burlington before settling in this city. He leaves two daughters and five children overall, with funeral services held at St Mary’s church and burial in Evergreen cemetery.
