The works, copies of the life of Christ by J J J Tissot, total valued near 250000 dollars. Laytes presented the collection for the new cathedral.

Mrs W G Gibson of Lexington Kentucky cites a severe bronchitis illness in her three year old daughter starting October 18. After using Chamberlain Cough Remedy per directions the child recovered by October 23 and she urges others to use the medicine.
Havanna January 2 The Athletic Club of Cuba beat Tulane University 11 to 6 at Almendares park. It was Cuba’s first victory over an American team and sparked celebrations as locals noted the Americans were outplayed and outweighted by a Cuban squad featuring former US college players.
Jesse Lindsay 18, in Macomb Indiana, drank carbolic acid in a failed suicide pact with his sweetheart Miss Mattie Lambert after parental objections ended their romance. Antidotes given, Lindsay remained unconscious with poor prospects for recovery.
